I am an art writer and visual artist, based in London, UK, and Turin, IT. Formally trained as a photographer—and cultivating a passion for the medium since childhood— I am interested in visual communication for the art world. As an art writer, I work with textile art; I am particularly interested in the art form of embroidery and its presence in the contemporary spheres.
My recent work and research assess craft and textile art in the context of women's labour. I have researched and evaluated the artistic liberation expressed through traditional embroidery and weaving techniques against the patriarchal structures in Italy. The project, As far as her eyes are good, particularly considers the embroidered wedding trousseau as it conjugates the oppressive domestic environment with the engagement of women's arts.
I hold a First Class Honours BA in Photographic Arts from the University of Westminster (2017) and an MA in Writing from the Royal College of Art (2020). Since 2017, I have worked in contemporary art, closely collaborating with emerging artists on individual and large-scale projects at ARTUNER (2020-2024) and Union Pacific (2024-2025).
